Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

If your looking for a frosting recipe thats almost impossible to goof up, give this concoction of goodness a try. Here is what you’ll need:

1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup cocoa powder, sifted
3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup whole milk

With your stand mixer beat your butter until creamy then add cocoa powder and mix until smooth
Add vanilla and 2/3 of the powdered sugar. Beat again for a minute or so
Continue to add milk and remaining sugar until it all comes together
At this point if your frosting seems too stiff add a few drops of milk or add additional sugar if frosting is too runny. Use immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container. This recipe makes 12-16 cupcakes.
